The manufacturer informs:

Super-active peat granulate: inhibits the growth of fungi, bacteria and algae and is particularly suitable for preparing fish from very soft waters with a very low carbonate hardness (KH).
It keeps the pH slightly acidic and creates ideal conditions for all South American, Asian and West African ornamental fish (e.g. Discus, Calictidae, Loricaridae, Cyprinidae, Characidae, Labirintidae).
The advantage is that it releases valuable humic acids and trace elements into the water in a controlled manner.

Peat expands in contact with water, which is why it must be wetted before use, but not rinsed.
Replace every 3 to 6 weeks (after treatment do not use activated charcoal you will lose the benefit of the treatment).
Carbonate hardness must always be present in sufficient quantities; we therefore recommend checking it with a kH test and, if necessary, raising it to 4-8°dKH

Granule size 2-4mm
The use of peat may cause a yellowish-amber colouring of the water.
